Gold Rare Earth and Material Techopreneurship Centre (GREAT) was founded by researchers from Faculty of Bioenginnering and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan on 6 September 2021.

GREAT provide full service of Gold, Rare Earth Elements and Materials testing from geological samples and other related materials. GREAT also provide Geological Exploration and Mineral Technology consultation.

GREAT based in Universiti Malaysia Kelantan Kampus Jeli and have experts throughout of Malaysia and internationals. GREAT take advantage of fresh ideas and modern approaches and combine them with a broad experience in our consulting services.

Malaysia has been blessed with a significant amount of non-radioactive rare earth (NR-REE) deposits. The Minerals and Geoscience Department (JMG) reported that there are 16.1 million tonnes of non-radioactive rare earth elements (NR-REE) in Malaysia with a market value of RM809.6 billion. Several areas has been identified with strategic potential for NR-REE such as Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Sarawak, Selangor and Terengganu.
